Ah, cute yet outstanding Easter home decorations and collectibles displayed all around the house… Although Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ it is also celebrating the rebirth of Nature. The spring is setting in and is about to get installed for good. We all get a special feeling of fresh air. There is the need to bring bright colors to our homes. This time makes us feel happier and more joyful after winter time.
Putting up your Easter home decorations is the best way to celebrate the advent of Spring time. Buying and displaying spring-y themed ornaments all around the house is so fun. Here, I’m going to share some of my favorite Easter decoration ideas to turn the home into a fresh place.
Spring flowers make fantastic Easter home decorations
Tulips, lilies, daisies are known as Easter flowers and bring the spring to your home. Flowers remind us that Nature is once again back to life and that winter is behind us for a while. Flowers add a touch of color to any home and their bright colors bring happiness and joy to individuals.
White lilies (click here for the story of white lilies), multicolored tulips and daisies symbolize the holiday. However you can use any type of flowers as Easter home decorations. All you need to do is ensure that you use a bunch of different pastel or bright and warm colors such as yellow, pink, red, orange, pastel pink, yellow and coral or dark orange.
Not to mention that flowers are not just fresh and lovely ornaments, they are also very elegant Easter decorations.
Display a nicely decorated Easter tree
The setting of Easter trees is a German tradition. It has nowadays become popular in America as well. Making your own Easter tree is really easy: here is a tutorial to help you create a stunning tree for the holiday.
But you may find out that you prefer to just buy a pre-made one. You can find a wide range of Easter trees in stores. From Easter egg ornament stand to actual Easter trees made with ornamental branches. Personally, I always set up a homemade Easter tree but I’m currently thinking of buying one. I have to admit that some are so marvelously designed…
Baskets and nests highlight your Easter decor
Baskets are certainly the most popular kind of gifts to get our loved ones on any occasion. They also make outstanding Easter home decorations. You can get a nicely crafted Jim Shore diorama basket filled with two bunnies, a church and a lovely countryside decor. Or a gift basket filled with lots of brightfully adorned eggs. These make fantastic ornaments for the center of your table or even for your sitting room.
Nests make also stunning decorations to turn your home into an extension of your garden. They come in different forms, like nests with eggs, wreaths to hang on the door, and you can even find artificial trees with a single Easter nest on their top.
Both baskets and nests make an excellent support to hide eggs and have the kids hunt for them in the home. They make perfect ornaments on your holiday table. For example, an exquisite ceramic Easter basket including salt and pepper bunny shakers bring joy to your table. Another excellent type of Easter table decorations would be empty nests that can easily be turned into bread plates.
Themed topiaries make perfect Easter table centerpieces – if you have a rectangular table, you can display several ones in line. The range of choice is quite large and you just might find yourself wanting to get all of them. All of these items make unusual yet elegant Easter decorations.
Cutouts, paper ornaments, window clings
Easter cutouts, paper ornaments and window clings are the perfect alternatives for small spaces or tiny budgets. If you do not want to own a large number of holiday collectibles, then these items will work wonders in your house.
These Easter home decorations are mostly made out of paper or plastic. They are available as pieces of decor that you stick on the windows – they thus make fantastic sun catchers. You will also find some of these in the form of banners and garlands, featuring religious characters and symbols. They can also come in the shape of flowers, bunnies, chicks and other Easter symbols. They are cheap and greatly adorn any area.

Garlands and banners are also a great way to brighten the house. They are easy to install: pin them on the walls or stick them to the furniture doors. Stores offer a very large range of designs. A first idea that comes to my mind is a lighted egg garland. Another idea is the garland made out of berries, branches and eggs.
How about a nice metallic garland displaying dozens of pastel colored eggs? They even may address a message to your family and guests. Flower garlands add a touch of freshness to the house. Easter flags, those also come in many different designs such as funny bunny, adorable chicks and, naturally, Christian flags that deliver a message of peace and love for the season.
Easter villages and religious scenes
Although hard to find, villages and sceneries including characters make also for stunning embellishments. They come in different types and styles. Stores offer whether cute pastel cottages that each feature a house in a colored village. As an example Bethany Lowe designed lovely pastel cottages, which can form an entire village. But stores also provide you with religious themed collectibles that reflect the symbol of the occasion.
